Down to Earth

Random thoughts

Dear Bloggy,

I've started my essay well but I have spent too long on it and until now have not yet finish the essay. Could Vanita be right saying that I'm a perfectionist? Oh no! I don't want to be a pefectionist. Also, I'm a bit worried about the London trip. I just don't really feel good about it. Many reasons I guess. Firstly, I think there's some kinda cold relationship among those who are going. Secondly, I didn't finish my essay although my submission date is after the exam but I want to do the best shot. Thirdly, I'm not prepare for the exam yet (thats quite worrying). All I hope (crossing my fingers praying to God) that the trip would be fine though it might not be the best trip I ever had before but at least you know satisfy myself. Plus, I hope I can prepare for my exam soon. Amin.

Merry Christmas

Dear Bloggy,

This year I received Christmas cards more than Hari Raya cards. It was a wonderful Christmas I ever had. Yesterday was the Christmas Eve, we made the so-called family reunion dinner among flatmates. Also, I have received my secret Santa gift and unexpectedly the socks which I hang at my door was fulled of cards and gifts from unexpected people. I am very happy living here and grateful for meeting such a wonderful housemates and friends.

Our Christmas Dinner menu.

The decoration. Suprise to see there is Christmas Tree?

See? The foods we made. A lot right?

Those who joint the dinner.

My socks. Hanging nicely outside the room. Waiting for the Secret Santa to put the gift.

Suprise!!!

The truth has revealed.

Thanks Chiung Hui. I like the book.

These are the other things appeared in my socks:

Switzland Chocs and a card from Wang Wen.

A Christmas card from Lucia. Very cute!

Another card from Doris, our new flatmate.

Finally, a piece of card from Vanita.

These, I received before Christmas:

Cards from Ema and Ifan.

A Christmas gift from my classmate, Kevin Qi Sheng.

Christmas card from Ritesh and Hemma (his wife).

Emphirical Data Coursework

Thursday, 20 December 2007
Dear Bloggy,

A very stress day today. I was about to practice my emphirical data past year questions then I received the real questions to be submitted next January. With all the effort I practiced the past year questions in the library using SPSS. Oh Lord! It was difficult! People in the library were looking at me because I kept sighing every time I made mistake with the statistic data. Now, part of me hate maths and another part feel this coursework is very challenging and want to the best. Anyway, I will have to read the statistic textbook to understand further about the data. Wish me luck!

Not 7; but 8 now

Dear Bloggy,

Last Friday, Vanita shocked me. Telling me a news about some new girl in Room C of our flat. All of us especially Lucia, Vanita and me (well Wan Weng would definitely share our shockness, but too bad she's in Switzland) were not feeling good about this new girl. I've met her and we introduced each other however, I don't feel that very welcoming. This evening, I heard the new girl's voice talking with her friend in the kitchen, I felt so strange about it. Even though I'm friendly, have no idea why I don't have the mood to get to know her. Wish Wan Weng is here for us to gossip.

The complete nasi lemak

Our meal would not be completed without Asda's cheesecake

Wah! No words can describe this

Yummy! The cheesecake was really delicious!

Chiung Hui's Birthday

Sunday, 2 December 2007
Dear Bloggy,

My housemates were very cooperative. We; including the birthday boy set a birthday party with lots of foods from China and Malaysia. I made Roti Jala with Chicken Curry. Chiung Hui made special Taiwanese chicken (which is halal) for all of us. Lucia cooked steam seafood egg and some kinda traditional seafood vegetable (no idea what it is). Wang Wen baked her all time favourite Tiramisu and Vanita set up the decoration in our Kitchen and also bought the drinks. There were three special guests attended the party- Rita (Taiwan), James (Hong Kong) and Susan (China). We were so happy and ended up the party by playing cards game. It was so much fun! Below are some pictures taken by me last night.

The foods that we cook last night

Everyone was so busy except the birthday boy; blurr...

May Uncle Raj rest in peace

Saturday, 1 December 2007
Dear Bloggy,

Everything was so shocking! Firstly, I got a bad news that the Perlis Ama has passed away. Well, that didn't create any impact on me. Then, suddenly another bad news appeared. Uncle Raj has passed away?! I was very shocked because it was just last few weeks I spoke to him on the phone and didn't expect that that conversation was the last one. Sadly, the day he died was the day I sent the Christmas card addressed to him. I was very confident that next year after my graduation I would definitely meet him and will tell him lots of stories about my life. However, it seems God can't wait to have him by His side. I think I'm going to miss him. He was the only person who always had a confidence in me with whatever I do; where everyone against and argued about my courage. I can still remember his weak voice on the phone saying that he was very happy and proud of me. One thing I regretted for not telling him was that there was one time when I seldom visit him and one day we met at the bus station; he was going to KL. He asked me whether I still remember him. I said no I don't but actually I do remember him; as the person who was loving and caring and he took care of me when I was young. I do remember that but I didn't mention that to him. Now, I wish he knew about it.
